Global Peduli Camp (Peduli Muafakat)

15/3/2013 - 20/3/2013

Great days, great experiences and GREAT FOREIGNERS! *humming to my self-created song*

Global Peduli Camp is a student exchange programme. Andrea, Kat, Nicole and Varun who came from United State of America were in the same group that visited our school. There are more foreigners too but they visit other schools.

Our theme of this camp is "Peduli Muafakat". According to what I understand from that, it's about different races living in a harmony country. We tolerate each other and here is the outcomes :)

Thursday (14/3/2013)

Practically, we just knew that we are going to perform Chinese Traditional dance on Thursday and guess what? We are going to have rehearsal on the next day! So it was kinda nerve-wrecking as we don't have much time left and we have to do the choreography by ourselves in a day time.

Friday (15/3/2013)

Practicing our Chinese Traditional dance for the short performance on the following Monday. We really had a great time practicing, lots of laughter but also mixed up with nervousness.

Meet Kat ;)
We were practicing our dance and she requested to take a picture with us haha.

Fan dancers and fellow friends.
I'm in YELLOW! SHARP ENOUGH XD

Monday (18/3/2013)

On the first day of Global Peduli Camp, everyone gave their best performance to the foreigners, so did us. After the performances, some students who are in hold of the traditional games went to do their part which is introducing different cultural traditional games such as Congkak, Catek, Teng-Teng, Batu Seremban and many more to the foreigners.

While performing Chinese Traditional dance.
Full of feeling? No idea why haha

While playing Catek.

Looking at them playing congkak (Malay's traditional game).

A group photo with Andrea ;D

The big family of SMKPT, foreign students from Babson and students from Uni Razak.
Really miss this moment. ;(

Tuesday (19/3/2013)

Second day, it's an eat-all-you-can day! Before the event starts, we were chilling in the school hall, playing games with the foreigners. When the event starts, some students went to prepare their traditional food and introduced them. So what's mext? absolutely! we EAT!

We were playing "fasa beleh beleh" with the ang mos before the event starts.

Playing "Stella Ella Ola" that taught by them. The lyrics and the rhythm of the song is shooo cute.
Lyrics can be seen in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stella_Ella_Ola
Later on, we changed the song into Rasa Sayang as it's one of a popular Malay folk songs in Malaysia.

After our leisure activities, we had a group photo with Andrea, Nicole, Kat and Varun.

Tang Yuan.
It's traditionally serve during the Chinese Winter Solstice Festival.

Onde-onde (One of my favourite Malay's kuin-muih!)

And some other delicious food ;>
*drooling*

We are helping out in the doing of "Kolam" and we are doing a picture of peacock.
Kolam is a form of painting that is drawn using colourful rice powder by the Hindus.

Photo BOOMING session!

KACHAK!
with the "Kolam".

Say CHEESEEEEE.

 Nicole, Kat and me.
Well, I'm looking awkward here and I look like a passer-by :(

It's a wonderful picture actually but I just ruined it by closing my eyes. lol

We were in the hall waiting for the presentations.

This a the video for their presentation.
Have a look!
(To be honest, our school is different than the other teams, as in this programme, we students introduced our traditional practices to the foreigners while the other schools are the foreigners taught them something.
and you can see that ours are really fun!)

AND THINK WHAT? WE WON THE FIRST PRIZE!!
2nd prize won by Zon R1 and Puteri Wilayah got the third place.
hehehehe, we beat CBN and SJI. :P

Thanks for the cheering, Puteri Wilayah! ;)

See the atmosphere in this picture! Everyone is cheering loudly with a broad smile on their faces.
Happiness overflow!

After having our lunch, it's time to bid goodbye :(
And we reached home around 7 in the evening (didn't knew it would be that late).

Arghh, may I borrow a time machine from Doraemon?
Can we rewind the time? D:

After a few days....
Our faces appreared in the newspaper!
Spot the tiny tiny me *wink*

Not to deny that this is one of my greatest experience.
Appreciate.

#Never regret of not joining Nike Training because of this event.

#Please hold this activity again, I wanna leave a unforgettable memory before I graduate from my high school next year. Sincerely, from me (or even everyone of us).
