Ship That Never Sink - Friendship 🚢

Image
3rd December 2021 Christmas came early as our friend here is being super extra and sentimental. 🎄🎁 Dickson told the rest of the gang to not bring their +1 and we thought it was an unusual request. We went to our HQ (headquarter) and he handed each of us a gift and a card. We were all stunned and clueless what is happening, we were not prepared to receive any gifts and it's not Christmas yet.  We were like "WHAT IS HAPPENING? ARE YOU LEAVING OR DYING?" - jokingly of course. However, the answer from him is very simple. He appreciates the friendship and just want to show his gratitude. Hence, he saved up to buy us gifts. We then opened our gift one by one and were really shocked to see what he got us. He really put his 💯 thoughts on the gift and the handwritten card. We are beyond grateful and words can't describe how we feel. At this point, we were still trying to brain the situation really hard as it happened really sudden and it wasn't a small amount of money. ...

Celebrating Memories while Building New Ones

Image
30th October 2021 It's always nice to meet someone close after a long time. Yen Lee and I finally meet after 2 or 3 years and we ended up talking to each other for 4 hours continuously.  I suggested to have lunch at Papasan Canteen, Jalan Kuchai Lama as I love their food during my first visit and I hope to try other food too. They serve variety of Japanese fusion dishes here. Ordered Unagi Egg on Rice this round and it was not bad but nothing to "wow" about. (I had Sour and Spicy Miso Saba Fillet during my first visit and I think it was good.) Boomerang of my food and Yen Lee! After we had our lunch, we wanted to spend more time chatting. Hence, we moved to Sunday Coffee & Cakes @ Taman Bukit Indah, OUG which is 6 minutes away from Papasan.  The cafe uses minimalist design and it is very cozy. Ordered Matcha Milk for a try. Quick review: hope its matcha taste could be stronger and to stand out more.  The new norm, taking selfies with mask on. We updated each othe...

A Little Extra Today

21st July 2021 *Ding* A notification pops up. The photo Chi Qing (primary classmate) liked is our primary school class photo taken in 2007, when we were still 10 years old, a naive standard 4 primary school kid. It then proceeded with Audrey taking a trip down memory lane for the rest of the day. Even b efore I went to bed, I kept telling stories to my younger sister and she made me shut-up so she could sleep HAHA FUNZ After I saw the notification, I visited a few Facebook groups that we have created back in the days and found some of gems.  To me, primary school days are always the best memories throughout my educational journey  (not implying the rest are not fun, just that primary school life left a deep and lasting impression on my mind) .  -Leaving the gems here so it won't go missing-  Graduation photo, 2009. Sport's day, 2009 When we were preparing for "Role Model Student" event (模范生候选人) in 2009.  It is an event for every standard 6 studen...

A Better Place

Couldn't visit ahgong; Couldn't attend his funeral; Couldn't say goodbye. That is how bad it is. 12th July 2021 Unfortunately, ahgong who was fully vaccinated got infected with COVID-19. He only had mild symptoms, coughing and wobbly legs. My relatives decided to call the ambulance as ahgong was feeling weak and it is better to have health professional's care.  13th July 2021 Called the hospital to check if is any update, we were informed that he is still in the emergency ward and yet to be warded.  P/s: Hospital won't be calling the family member during this high COVID-19 infection rates period, they are too busy saving and taking care thousands of lives. So, the only time they call is either the patient can be discharged or they are in a critical condition... 14th July 2021 4.30pm: Hospital called saying ahgong's heart stopped beating for almost 30 seconds and they did cardioversion to save him. It saved him, but chances of survival is 50-50. They told us to p...

13th July 2021 Healthy handmade granola from Angel, a friendly person we got to know online Here is the "short story" on how we get to know Angel: -She Rhou is working under JOOX and she has to "patrol" the livestream rooms daily to make sure things are in order. -As a supporting friend, Ruey, Xiao Chai, Pui Yu and Shuet Ching created a JOOX room to have live session too, but mostly catching up with each other. However, I could not join them as my Google Play Story does not support JOOX latest version. * MIUI you a bit slow ah -After a few days, my JOOX is updated and I decided to join the fun. Fun as in a group of girls chatting non-stop, hopping to other people's livestream and not to forget, playing with the filters. The girls then created a WhatsApp group for easier communication.  -On 29th June 2021, She Rhou and Ruey were discussing excitedly in the WA group about one of the live rooms they entered. Just out of curiosity I decided to find out what is happe...

26th December 2020 Other than receiving a gift from the Christmas gift exchange session, I received another gift from Dickson and Jeng Yang too! What makes it even better is they both also gave me a handwritten card. These boys are really making my day. Oh, the reason why they bought me an extra gift: On 20th Dec, I was just casually asking if they both are paktor-ing a.k.a dating in Mid Valley *I mean obviously they don't, they were just shopping for Christmas gifts for our upcoming Christmas gift exchange session . They both then sent me a selfie of them together and I jokingly said "each of you buy one more present for me, ok?". You know what came up next? A MIDDLE FINGER photo from them HAHAHAHA After a while, they actually asked me if I like refreshing stuffs, like scents. So I'm like they are picking gift for another friend, Rose, why are you asking me, you should ask Jesslyn (Rose's sister) who knows her best.  Yeap, they were actually picking a gift for me...

MCO // Lockdown Birthday

Image
2nd Feb 2021 Malaysia's second movement control order (MCO), which was initially set to expire on 26th January is now extended for another week, until 4th February. With that being said, I GONNA HAVE A MCO BIRTHDAY! To be frank, I already expected it will be a MCO birthday due to the country's  alarming rise of COVID-19 cases, where the daily cases has reached four-digit figure.  So yeah, something as simple as having a good birthday meal at your favourite restaurant, friends surprising you at a gathering and colleagues singing birthday song in the office have become a mission impossible. However, it isn't all bad news. Lucky for me, I blessed with lovely and beautiful people surrounding me.  I've received lots of loves from my family, friends and colleagues in a different way. So precious and I'll never forget this day. My 24th birthday is a whole new experience and I shall blog about it. It falls on a Tuesday, a working day. I started my da...
