Malaysia's second movement control order (MCO), which was initially set to expire on 26th January is now extended for another week, until 4th February. With that being said, I GONNA HAVE A MCO BIRTHDAY! To be frank, I already expected it will be a MCO birthday due to the country's alarming rise of COVID-19 cases, where the daily cases has reached four-digit figure.

So yeah, something as simple as having a good birthday meal at your favourite restaurant, friends surprising you at a gathering and colleagues singing birthday song in the office have become a mission impossible. However, it isn't all bad news. Lucky for me, I blessed with lovely and beautiful people surrounding me. I've received lots of loves from my family, friends and colleagues in a different way. So precious and I'll never forget this day.

My 24th birthday is a whole new experience and I shall blog about it.

It falls on a Tuesday, a working day. I started my day by switching on my laptop and work and work and work, until it's noon and there're riders, drivers calling my number to accept my parcel one by one. Most of them are all perfect surprise as the sender did not pre-warn me that a parcel is on its way. All these sweet and thoughtful actions made me melt, made my day all rainbow. 🌈 💌

(1st Feb) Dione probably knew that I'll be having "food tsunami" on my actual birthday so she sent me Kyochon the day before. I was shocked when I received it as I have no idea who gave me this, until she messaged me "Hello Audrey Tee" on Slack. huhu I really can't brain how can I be this close with this girl who is actually my colleague. I'm overwhelmed. 💝

Dickson actually messaged me to confirm my address on the day before and I'm so surprised as I did not expect him to send me stuff at all. Btw, this guy is 100% joker, I burst into laughter when I saw it's Bean Jr Honey Dewy flavour. Backstory: a few of us met up before MCO 2.0 implemented and he ordered this flavour. I commented that I can purchase it for only RM3 at another dessert place and it is expensive here. So he purposely sent me this to annoy me. Disclaimer, Bean Jr Honey Dewy is NICEEE, just that I would opt for other items if I'm given choices.

All thanks to Maple/Discord, these platforms really strengthen our friendship. It is a place we discussed so much serious or nonsense shits.

Ashley bought me Niko Neko Matcha flavour Yomie!!! She even asked my sister to choose one for herself and my sis shamelessly picked one. It was actually meant to be a surprise but my sisters didn't do a good job on this. They both were laughing/giggling when Ash pm-ed my sis on choosing a flavour for me. When I asked them why are they laughing, they told me they are discussing with a seller on an issue. I wasn't convinced so I went up to them and saw my sis phone showing "Ashley" name on it... 💆

Ash, Kimm and Nic bbs sent me SUPER YUMMMEHH dessert! *my boss & my seniors at work Can you imagine I'm the happy place I'm working at? With all these great colleagues? Although we can't celebrate in the office, they still find ways to shower me with loves. The pastries are so GOOD, quality stuffs here! I'm in LOVE with their Matcha White Chocolate Tart 🤤

I wasn't expecting this! Justin who is also my colleague, my sales partner sent me a super cute cake *简直少女心爆棚的高颜值蛋糕 It comes with a note written "Happy Birthday to my super Campain Buddy!". Can you spot the spelling error there? It should be "campaign" instead of "camPAIN" and I immediately asked Justin, how PAIN is our "camPAIN" 😂 P.S: (1) spelling error by caketogether, (2) campaign is a term we called the job we handle

Another unexpected surprise here! Chou Tong be like "work from home today kah?" and then "later got grab come, you receive ya~". We have known each other for 17 years and she is still creating surprise for me. *I'm reflecting myself here cz I did nothing last year 😭 She even flipped our primary school contact book (2009) contact book to look for my address! We usually just drive to each other place so we never know the exact address HAHA MAJOR thanks for being so sweet 💗

Helluuuuuu? Pulis? I received a HUGE Kooky Cream cake from Ruey! Ruey even bought me mixed flavours so I can taste more. I only tried Kooky Cream once (last year birthday with Ruey too) and I immediately fell in love ever since but never got the chance to revisit this bakery. We both kept sharing Kooky cream cakes via IG messages, saying how much we want to try the cake, making plans to visit the place but it was postponed indefinitely due to this pandemic. But now? SHE BROUGHT KOOKY CREAM TO ME. ONE MORE THING, this girl find my address by looking at Google Map. WHAT ON EARTH RIGHT? I'm really out of words. Couldn't be more grateful.

*jkjk I was just sharing my comments with Ruey here haha I'm really obsess with Kooky Cream's cakes, they really make the best cake ever! All the flavours are so on point and the flavour balancing is TOP-NOTCH.

JX sent me a whole cake too?! Thanks to Discord, I get to know a new friend who shares so much similarities with me and so ngam key. Like legit, how can I talk to someone for hours with so many random topics? You know the feeling when you don't have to rack your brain to think of a topic when you're chatting with your friends? It's really something you don't find easily. I'm happy for this friendship and hope the bond will be stronger. Appreciate it!

My elder sis also ordered a mixed flavour birthday cake for me! THIS CAKE IS SO GOOOOD TOO! Rich ingredients! Wanna know a funny story? The cake actually arrived our place at 4pm but my sis did not answer her phone and the delivery guy just left (he did not honk). Thankfully the shop agreed to redeliver the cake to us during the evening. huhu Thanks sis and thanks Nippori!

(3rd Feb) Birthday is over and I still received another surprise! It's from Elaine, my growth hack partner (colleague) and Dione (again ngekk). During lunchtime, I got a call and the rider passed me this, saying Happy Birthday. I wasn't prepared for this at all. My friends are just so kind and I'm really moved by their thoughtful gestures.

(10th Feb) I am still receiving surprise for my birthday?! Stephy, my sales partner (colleague) since the first day she joined REV back in Dec 2019, also the one who brought me to try Village Park for the first time! She sent me this really cute metal tin box of cookies [Kanpeki Cookie Box] and they are from Sunbather Coffee, located at Bangsar South City. It consists of 10 types of classic flavour with hand-painted decorative cookies. YUMZ

(10th Feb) Eherm, another parcel from Dione 👀 Is she falling for me? HAHAHA She asked me a few times what is the Smart Band model I am wearing. I initially thought she was just doing some research as she seems to be like looking for one. Who knows, she was asking so that she can buy me the strap! Sweetest!
