Jacky Cheung A Classic Tour (張學友經典世界巡迴演唱會)
5/10/2018 - 7/10/2018
What is it like to work in a concert? For me, it is like getting paid to watch a concert. (not really, it depends on which position you get)
Like finally I am able to work in a concert after Celine invited me for the third time. I totally missed out Eric Chou and JJ Lin's concert! Crying inside as I want to watch Eric Chou singing live so badlyyyyyy.
This concert is 3 days long and I bet not all singer is able to do this. However, Jacky Cheung did it! The seats are all occupied for all three days and he sang so well for all the days too! *不愧是歌神*
Let us talk about my job scope. We need to reach Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil at 1030am and starts to put light stick on every seat at 11am. It sounds easy but DEFINITELY NOT. It hurts my back as I need to bend to put them on the seat PRECISELY or else it will fall. Day 1 was totally a nightmare and we were lucky enough to have extra helpers on second and third day.
After putting the light stick we had our lunch and break until 6pm. Then, we are required to go the storage counter for our second job scope. Yeap, storage counter is a counter where you have to keep every audience's prohibited items. It means when one brings a camera, we need to take out its battery and keep it for them in the storage counter. They will only get to redeem them after the concert ends. There are 2 counters so we separated into 2 teams and fortunately our counter wasn't that obvious compared to the other team. (it means lesser work for us)
When the concert begins, it means free time for us. Hence, we are allow to take turns entering the concert hall to watch Jacky Cheung sings. WE ARE NOT IN THE CONCERT HALL FOR THE ENTIRE TIME. That was a little sad to say. The first and second day we did not time ourselves in the concert hall, but we did that in the third day. This is because all of us have our desire song to listen so we have a schedule and we will watch the concert accordingly.
Last but not least, what I treasure the most while working is the friendship I have gained.
Long hours working time but fulfilling friendship.

Light stick and storage counter team - friends that I have made in these 3 days.
*except a few who I already knew and invited them to join this work*

There goes the light sticks they are holding in their hands.

The place where we sat for our night job. Notice the red plastic bag behind? They are all the prohibited items that we kept inside it.
(I took this photo on the last day where they already took down the "storage counter" banner.)

The stage setting was really amazing!
《她来听我的演唱会》
They played Kiss Cam while Jacky Cheung is singing this song. Kiss Cam is a social game where the cameraman will aim at a couple and broadcast on the screen. So if you are the selected couple, you have to kiss your loved one. (but kan kami kat Malaysia, we are kind of conservative so not everyone will kiss in front of the public, so some of them will do a heart shape, some will show cute couple actions and etc.) All in all, it was a lovely and touching session.
《我的心真的受伤了》
He really sang beautifully. I enjoyed myself while listening to this.
So I went to this area that is super near to the stage. A few zoom in is enough to see him clearly hahaha
Look at his signature hand sign!
Last but not least, what I treasure the most while working is the friendship I have gained.
On our last day of working, we went to Tealive during our long break. We walked from Axiata Arena to Sri Petaling. Tze Sin told us it was just a 5-10 minutes walk, who knows it was around 20 minutes! But I enjoyed the walk with them. It looks like a group of teenager going out for a field trip (I feel young).
(Tze Sin, Ah Hao, me, Pei Wen, Wen Wen, Yee Jiun, Ruey and Lay Leng)
Another 3 who we only get to know during the night shift.
(Tze Yin, Han Wu, Jin Hui and Che Yin)

While Ruey and I are on our way to find Yik Tong's car, we had the mutual feeling that this place's atmosphere feels like Coventry. It is like the whole place belongs to us and we can walk freely.
Let me end this post with Jacky Cheung's signature hand sign and also the working wristband.
Long hours working time but fulfilling friendship.
