Singapore Trip

25/5/2013 - 27/5/2013

It was a "last minute" Singapore trip for us as we normally do not go for holiday during our mid-year break.

Saturday (25/5/2013)
My family and I woke up at the crack of dawn which was around 6.00a.m. and we traveled all the way to Singapore by dad's car. So, daddy will be our DRIVER OF THE TRIP!  Phew, after 6 hours of journey, we finally reached Singapore. Singapore is a dirty-free country. Look at the street, it's really clean and the trees by the roadsides made place shady and cozy. Without further delay, we headed to Science Centre which is located at Jurong Street. While we were purchasing our ticket, the receptionist asked whether we are locals or foreigners. We answered honestly but then only realised that we should've tell a tiny white lie as local's tickets are cheaper (and we look exactly like Singaporean, there's no difference between us. You know lar, Malaysia and Singapore are neighboring countries).

Science centre.

Outrageous looking lol

Ticketing counter.

We only bought the Science Centre's tickets because the bug world might be too kiddy for us. Initially, we wanted to play the laser game but at last we didn't as we heard some blonde kids said it's too easy for them (and we are much elder than them).

The science centre is quite large, it has two floors and it looks like a maze XD

Insect specimens.

Typhoon chamber.

A blurry pic as we were trying on the earthquake effect haha.

I don't understand this section actually. All I see is mirrors.

A huge globe.

3 of us pretended like we got electrocuted ... haha

The mirror is playing a trick with us.

Does my hand looks like it gonna break soon?
Well, I think I failed on this :/

The part that I like the most is the place where they show some weird inventions by the Japanese. They are really smart and kinda hilarious. Why can't I have a quarter brain like them? :( and also an interesting section where it placed a few predicting machines like "How will you look like when you're in age XX?", "How stress are you?" and more.

I hope my 60th wouldn't be that ugly D:
*cries

Measuring beauty haha.
Right pic: Right and right symmetry,
Middle pic: Switched left and right side,
Left pic: Left and left symmetry.

There's a water park too but we didn't get to play.

A mini theater.

Creative clothing exhibition.

However, I still prefer Petrosains in KLCC (to be honest) although the area is smaller but we can experience more stuffs physically or maybe more like playing. The great thing I found out that we can actually surf Internet in the Science Centre (wifi wifi wifi) :P Unexpectedly, we spent 4 hours there and then, we went to a nearby food court to have some food.

Only manage to capture this out of a few more dishes :P

When we have filled up our stomach, we drove to our hotel to check in. Days Hotel is the hotel we are going to stay for 2 nights, it's a newly opened hotel. Not bad, it's new and clean.

Days Hotel.

Zhong Shan Park is just right behind of Days Hotel.

Nice right?

Ar, having a morning walk here is just so blessed.

Lobby.

A hallway to our room.

Parent's room is blue in colour.

And ours is orange <3 comment-3--="" nbsp="">

Can I paint my room this colour too? :/

Their toilet.

We actually selca at the hotel's lobby using their iMac haha

Fooling around :p

After resting for a while, we went to visit Merlion statue (Singapore's attraction), the combination of lion's head and fish's body which is located at Fullerton Road.

On our way.

Hello!

Marina Sand Bay.

Look at The Fullerton Hotel! How grand it is!

Along the river.

THE BUILIDING IS SO STUNNING!

HEH, finally! MERLION.

Further shots.

Sunday (26/5/2013)
This was the day we have been looking forward to! Everyone was feeling so excited as we are going to play ALL DAY LONG. We reached Universal Studios Singapore by 9.00a.m. and we have to queue up to wait for it to be opened. Guess what?  There were already so many people there! Luckily, we bought our USS tickets earlier through my daddy's friend who worked in Singapore.

We can barely can see the castle. YOOHOO

We're almost there!

Sentosa is on our right!

HERE WE ARE! UNIVERSAL STUDIO SINGAPORE.

but... It is still locked.

While waiting.

Our great helper - Studio guide.
(It also helps me a lot when I'm blogging about this trip haha)

Unfold it.

When it's totally unfold, the size change from S to XL.

Once the gate is opened, my family and I dashed to Sci-Fi section to avoid the crowd (well, taught by my mum). So, the whole journey we're using anti-clockwise route.

Sci-Fi City.

It was great that we get to play without queuing as we were the early birds there. haha Our first game was TRANSFORMER The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle. The effects absolutely AWESOME and COOL. The best part was when you fell off  from a building, the feeling was just so real. We played this twice ngehehe. We tried the Accelerator too but nothing special. It just spin and spin and spin.

Transformer's logo.

It's time for us to join OPTIMUS PRIME and the AUTOBOTS as we'll become a freedom fighter in the ultimate 3D battle against the forces of evil.

(no picture is allowed here actually haha).

Accelerator.

Whirling twirling.

Opps, I closed my eye. The guy beside us was quite creepy haha

Next, we went to try Battlestar Galacticca: CYLON (BLUE Track). OMG, that's superb especially when it goes under the dry ice! but it ended so fast :( It turns 360 degree. It's such a waste that coward daddy didn't join us :3 We continued with Battlestar Galacticca: HUMAN (RED Track) which is right beside of it. It's nice too but for me, cylon is more exciting. We played it twice in one shot but this time with daddy because he had to take care of our belongings just now (he dare to play the red track haha). So, this round mum take care of them.

Battlestar Galacticca: CYLON (BLUE Track)
Played this twice too lol

Battlestar Galacticca: HUMAN (RED Track)
Zooming at speeds of 82.8km/h over 14 storeys in the air!

When you're at the starting point, CYLON and HUMAN meet each other :P
.
It's Ancient Egypt section now and we played Revenge of the Mummy. I personally think that this is even better than transformer hehe (everyone said Transformer is the best of all). Total darkness on this indoor roller coaster and you wouldn't know what is up next. The anxious feeling buried under your heart. *beep beep And I love the cooling atmosphere there too ;)  It feels even great if you sit in the first row! No heads blocking you. We played this for thrice haha. It's really worth it when some tourists don't even get a chance to play the attractions The worker also told us that today is not as packed as yesterday (Saturday) and the peak season is during June.

Ancient Egypt.
(I lost quite a number of photos of this trip. It's all because the virus urgh)

Here we are, The Lost World.

Being cheeky lol.

Firstly, we played Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. It's a thrilling river raft ride through primeval dinosaur habitats where we will get wet. During this game, we got into a dark part and the machine will lift us up (their high tech is really cool) but this game was quite boring for us lol.

Tadaa, Jurassic Park!

That rhinoceros looks real at the first sight as it will move :O

Can you imagine if there's a crowd behind us?

Wore our raincoats because we might get soaked.

LOOK! IT'S DRYING PODS! SO DAMN CUTE!
WHAT A CREATIVE INVENTION HAHA

We also played Canopy Flyer in this section.

The queue (we were queuing upstairs).

Canopy Flyer.

Bye! We're going to enjoy a prehistoric bird's-eye view over Jurassic Park.

Let's proceed to the magical Far Far Away~

Welcome to Far Far Away.

Amazing!

We met Princess Fiona, Prince Charming and Fairy Godmother that day but we missed the opportunity to take pic with them :(

With the castle.

We watched Shrek 4-D Adventure. With the effect of moving seats galloping when you're riding a.horse, the water splash at you when the donkey sneezed and the itchy feeling when the spiders scattered all over the ground. IM LOVING IT HAHA

Shrek 4-D Adventure.
(It was drizzling)

See, hear and FEEL the action right from your seat as you join Princess Fiona and Shrek in a fairytale adventure.
(copied from the Studio Guide :P)

When we were finish.

We also watched Donkey LIVE show with master Raul (I hope I get it correctly) leading us. When we entered the hall, donkey and master Raul fooled us by telling our 3D glasses are under our bench. Everyone bent down to look for it and then he laughed at us because there's none -.- Donkey asked us what does ERP in Singapore stands for and the answer is --- Everyday Robbing People! That was hilarious HAHAHA. We really enjoyed this live show.

Madagascar section now :3 We didn't play any game here as we wanna try more adventurous game. So, we just had our meal here. The price here is really..... "nice" aka expensive. One plate of rendang rice costed us singapore dollar 14 (imagine that we still have to times it with 2.44 to convert it into Malaysia currency). Their mash potato sausage is delicious! but yeah, $5.80 per cup.

Welcome to Madagascar.

Sister is ordering mash potato sausage.

A really yummy mash potato sausage.

We didn't play King Julien's Beach Party-Go-Round because it's more to kids.

It looks like I was cropped out from the previous photo XD

There was a street dance show in Hollywoord section. They invited a few kids to the front and one of the them was too shy so he hugged the dancer when they asked him to dance. Everyone was like "Awww, so cute" :P

Hollywood!

Some food stalls.
We were imitating the statues behind. We've got nothing better to do haha

Without us blocking them.

We missed The Walk of Fame - Hollywood where we can meet the Universal cast of characters from the glamorous Marilyn Monroe to the wacky Woody Woodpecker and more, along the legendary Hollywood Boulevard because we went to watch Monster Rock. However, no regrets for us because the performance is so perfect! They sang and they dance. They were so pro!

It's Hollywood street!

Watched the Universal Classic Monsters in Monster Rock.
We actually ate a type of scrumptious food when we are waiting but I have no picture of it :/

Antique cars.

Lastly, we visited New York city in Universal Studio Singapore. We took the Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase ride. You must be thinking why would we played it as we keep claiming that this and that rides are kiddy hahaha It's because Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase is one of the highlight in USS so we must not miss it.So, why not give a try? and luckily we did, it is so beautiful there! Starry starry night~ The stupid part is I keep on stretching my hand out just to hope that I can touch it where I actually can't.

Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase.

Sesame street! and Elmo too ;D

It's big bird from sesame street!

Lights, Camera, Action! hosted by Steven Spielberg is a must watch too. "Be blown away as an empty sound stage becomes the setting for a major hurricane about to hit New York City - right before you wery eyes". You can feel the heat when the fire is on, look at how the ship sinks when it met the hurricane.

Last but not least, we bought some souvenirs since we have vouchers but still no idea what to buy (partly of their price) and at last we bought their 2 Elmo magnets and some key chains. lol

Just took the picture of these.

Isn't Elmo looks cute? :)

The sky is getting dark. It's time to bid goodbye. Still felt lucky that we can play all those cool games several time without a long queue haha

 A day well-spent with my family :)

We were out from Universal Studio Singapore. :(

Resorts Worlds Sentosa Singapore.

Buhbyeeee.

Walking around and here's the casino haha

It's dark now which also indicates us that we're leaving this place.
.

Monday (27/5/2013)
WE ARE GOING BACK TO MALAYSIA SOON! NOOOOO! I WANNA STAY HERE LONGER HMMM. Before leaving, we went to a shopping complex to have a quick look. We drank their pearl milk tea and we also bought 6 packets of marshmallows (marshmallow's freak huh?:P), dark chocolate, mint flavour kitkats, cookies and some snacks. Sadly, I lost the pictures of them because someone stole my handphone in Malaysia's LRT station (Masjid Jamek). WHAT A LUCK! I JUST CAME BACK FROM SINGAPORE AND THE NEXT DAY IT HAPPENED AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CHANCE TO TRANSFER MY TRIP'S PHOTOS LOL.

2 packets of Looney Tunes marshmallow here.

Fuhh, finally reached home around 8p.m. An enjoyable trip indeed :)

#A long post about my Singapore trip. I hope it won't upset you guys haha.
