Teacher's Day
27/5/2014
Out of my expectation, they really did it and they invited us to join along! However, we only get to practice in the nick of time as we were having our midterm exam.
While we were sitting for our Chinese paper, those who are not involve went to the gym room and think some steps. We even stayback for it on Friday but as usual, we only got to practiced the song over and over again without further proceed. We also spent time discussing when to sub in this performance to catch the audiences' attention. At last, we made a decision performing it before we sing our school anthem. On Monday, we straight away went into gym room for more practices. We also had some petty arguments as everyone has different opinions. We can only air our grievances among ourselves. Fortunately, we manage to finish the choreography in time!
IT'S TEACHER'S DAY! As expected, the attendance was quite disappointing (students tend to play truant the day before holiday, but what to do? Students LOVE HOLIDAY! LOL) We sat at out usual spot and watch the performances and listen to the speeches given. At time to time goes on, we were still thinking when is the best time to do our flashmob too as we were little dissatisfied of the last decision. haha Performances finished, time for school anthem! We quickly went beside the stage and telling each other how nervous we are. The emcee told everyone to stand up to sing our school anthem and it played other music instead, which is ours! The flashmob started with the head prefects and when the song changed, we went in and start dancing. Butterflies in our stomach but after a few seconds, we enjoyed ourselves. The audience were grinning ear to ear, they were singing along and the best part is our neighbour, 5 Usaha danced along! They were really supportive and hyperactive!
Flashmob ended and all of us quickly dashed off to cover our embarrassment. Then, Joey asked us is there any bacteria on the stage that made us got down from the stage that FAST? AHAHA So I bet most of the audience don't get what are we doing, but nah, it's okay. It's meant to be a flashmob and we really had fun! Say cheers to our SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE as everyone had a great time watching it (although not be as interesting as the other professional flashmobs did outside).
#Awkward yet fun experience.
Happy Teacher's Day!
So the prefects were discussing doing a flashmob on teacher's day celebration when our way home by LRT. But they encountered a problem which is some among them don't want to join while we are really interested (even though we are not prefects). At least once in high school right?
Historic flashmob in Antwerp train station, do re mi.
This could be my first flashmob I watched hahaha It's like 4 years ago.
