Blood Donation
7/7/2015
After our Pengajian Malaysia tutorial, we went to Nyonya Valley to have a proper breakfast as we decided to join "July Blood Donation Campaign 2015" organized in TARUC. It is something most of us never try before!
When we finished our meal, we went to the college hall and went to 1st floor, filling up a form. Cherry and Anson have not reach 18 so she is unable to donate without getting her parent or lecturer's signature while JJ could not donate because she is lack of blood so out of many of us, only left Andrew and I were donating blood.. Once we enter the room, we were required to have a blood test. It's like a stapler stapled on my middle finger and the doctor or nurse (idk) will pressed my finger to force the blood out. It was painful for a few seconds and it made me feel scared donating blood. Just then, I found out my blood type is O - universal donor! All this while I thought mine is A and always proudly tell the others that A for Audrey lol My mum got shocked of the result too as she is the one who told me that my blood type is A *I hope my mum is wrong or else something bad gonna happen*.
When I am done with my registration, I felt so nervous waiting for my turn to donate. I sat the left hand side chair and donated through my left arm. Andrew sat at my right and he commented that I have noob blood vessel because my blood doesn't flows out well -.- So the nurse who was in charge of me kept telling me to open and close my palm to pump the blood out. However,it was fortunate that Andrew kept me entertaining me for the entire blood donation progress or else I will be really bored hahhaha This guy even requested the nurse to take picture of after seeing me having hard time taking picture will one hand. #thumbsup
After the nurses took out the syringe from our arms, we were asked to press the cotton at that area and wait for 5 minutes. Looking at the packet of my blood on the nurse's hand really made me feel satisfied. I get to help people who are in need :) Lastly, we took our certificates, had lucky draw (got a runningman voucher) and also had a refreshment over there.
Once we were done, we went surprised that our friends were still waiting for us downstairs. They waited for us around half an hour! hashtag friendship goals
#Felt great and satisfied!

Experiencing blood donation for the first time!
Double chin game strong.
It took me 15 minutes to fill up 350ml of blood.

Aftermath.
Left: Day 1 | Right: Day 4.
(so the nurse did a not-so-good job)
